Complementary colors

What’s special about complementary colors?

Look at the complementary colors shown in the drawing. There is no cyan in red, as red is obtained by mixing magenta and cadmium yellow, and , of course, there is no red in cyan, as cyan is a primary color. This happens with all complementary colors: they are as different as they can be.
